The earth and everything that makes it our home has just experienced the Autumn Equinox. Allow yourself to be still and quiet for a time. Become in tune with God’s balance in preparation for a new year. Acknowledge the growth that has come before in the season past. Say thank you for the opportunity for growth that it brought. Prepare for the harvest of that energy. Feel the impact of it on your life. Say farewell to the old you and ready yourself to be reborn. The promise of the Christ child is near.

We pray thanksgiving for all that surrounds us.

East – God of the East, of dawn and of new beginnings, awaken our senses.

South – God of the South, of abundance and growth, awaken us to our aliveness.

West – God of the West. Of mystery and of change, awaken our creativity.

North – God of the North, of quiet and rest, awaken our wisdom.

Up – God of the sky, of the clouds and the cosmos, awaken our vision.

Down – God of the earth, from which we came, awaken our humility.

Center – God of the heart, who dwells within us and all creatures, awaken our love for all beings.
