Alleluia!

Alleluia! Christ is risen!

Eastertide, the fifty days from Easter to Pentecost, invites us to contemplate the Resurrection, which embraces all creation. In the Fall, humanity lost the ability to perceive God fully in the world, but through the Incarnation—the Word (logos) made flesh—this separation is restored.

As John’s Gospel proclaims in the Prologue:
“Everything came to be by means of it, and without it not one thing exists came to be.” (John 1:4)

The logos—rich in meaning in Greek can be translated as reason, wisdom, speech, and revelation to name a few—reveals God’s presence in creation. In the logos, as also part of the Prologue in John’s Gospel, extends into life which becomes the light of all humanity. And it is in the light, the life given from the beginning, that darkness can not overcome it.

During this Easter season, let us embrace the “newness of our baptized life” in the Resurrection and continue connecting to the light of our life in Christ, where we seek to seeing God anew in all of creation.

Alleluia! Christ is risen!
