St. Mary Magdalene Equal to the Apostles is a rare and beautiful bi-ritual congregation — worshipping in both Western and Eastern traditions — and a cherished new member of our partnership. Their permanent home at St. John Chrysostom begins May 1. We encourage you to visit and experience our new partner community.

You are invited to witness a historic moment in the life of our partnership.
On this extraordinary day, Bishop Kym Lucas will preside at a Byzantine Rite service with St. Mary Magdalene Equal to the Apostles at St. John Chrysostom Episcopal Church.
As far as historical records show, Bishop Kym is believed to be the first woman ever to serve in this role within the Byzantine Rite. This is a remarkable milestone not only for our congregations, but for the wider Church.
